I want to change my hair. I’ve actually been thinking about it for a while which is why I’ve let it grow so crazy. I think I want to get braids of some kind. I just can’t decide what.
Sometimes I think I want cornrows. Sometimes I think I want braids. I’m not sure which style of either. Every once in a while I really want to just go all natural and pick it out into a huge 70s afro. Unforunately, I don’t think that would allow me to exist in the day to day working society I have to frequent. Oh to be a full time artist.
Anyway, what do people think? I’m totally open to suggestions here.

Everyone else: Ummm, no, I am not getting dreads. 1) I don’t actually like them and 2) As I said, I have to have go to work sometimes. It is not an option really.
Chris, get your cornrows………have you ever had them? I had them a few, and they hurt like heck….maybe it was just my hair? You can always go back to this. I like cornrows, ya need a nice tat on the neck, too. : )
As cool as both the Afro and cornrows are, you should go with a tight fade to the skin….high and tight! Easy to manage, great for work and ya’d look SHARP!! I vote fade! You are the MAN either way..keep up the great work!
@psgypsy: I’ve had braids before. Not in a few years though. I don’t know if I’ve ever had cornrows. Not as an adult anyway. You’d have to ask my mom if I ever had them as a little kid.

Second choice…braids :o)
I’d be interested to see what you look like with braids, but I’d think something like this or this might look good, while still fitting into corporate America. I’ve worked with teachers with these dos. I mean ultimately…can they fire you for hair? Naw, just frown disapprovingly.
Cut off the perm and texturize it. That would look cool. 🙂

@jooboos: The thing is, I actually like the "look" of small dreads. Mostly just not the permanence.
