Amaya had the idea of doing a nude photoshoot down at one of her favorite spots in West Virginia. So I took Rachael and Laurie down there to do the shoot with her.
We got there at the crack of dawn to catch golden hour light which provided some amazing results in my opinion.

finally! A shot where one of the girls is something like smiling. I don’t understand the appeal of dour serious faces in naked photos. To me that’s just not as sexy as a girl enjoying helself. I love this one.
@d.rex: yep, that’s what I thought.
@mickeysacks: there’s a couple reasons. For one, smiles tend to come across as forced in pictures. The key to glamour photography is to pose the models in exceptional and intense stances while making it look like its natural. In reality no one is ever posed the way I put my models, but that extra bit of dynamic energy comes across as striking to most people. Similarly, smiles are something that while they don’t occur as much in real life as they do in photos, occur so much in photos that they often come acorss as forced and artificial. Whereas an intense stare, which never really occurs tends to grab the viewers eye and draw them into the shot. It adds mystery. At least that’s the theory. Obviously, mileage may vary. Anyway, I’m glad you like it.
