There’s a funny thing about shooting a tarot deck, that you might have noticed if you’ve been paying attention. I have a lot more female models than male ones. Even for the cards that have to be naked, its just a lot easier to find women willing to pose for the deck than men. Its funny, because in real life, you’d expect the exact opposite.
Luckily, I have a large selection of professional wrestling friends to draw from when I need male models. Joe was willing to pose for my strength card.
I’m pretty happy with how it turned out as well. Pretty much exactly what I was going for. BUt still comments and criticism highly welcome.

When I first saw this thumbnail, I thought this was Chris Benoit. Even with looking at the larger picture, I still think that Joe looks similar to Benoit.
@lrayholly: hahah… its another where I deviated quite a bit from the classic interpretation. Curious to where others fall with it.
@laffy4k: hmm… i guess I can see why you might say that with the beard. But I guess I don’t really see it in him as much because I know him.

Yeah, that works, especially with his shoulder tat. It’s a classic pose captured well. The eye is drawn along the path of his gaze, through his tattoo and along his arm to the dumbbell. The dumbbell spreads the focus back out to his pecs. An excellent embodiment of strength.

Personally, I think this one lacks the ‘MAV’ look… It’s not a bad shot, by any means, I just think it lacks the impact that so many of the other cards have.
