Welcome to Evaline. Pittburgh’s biggest house party.
This is the first year in the last several that I didn’t have a Halloween party. There was enough other stuff going on that I just didn’t feel like bothering. Friday night, Steph and I went to Amaya’s party. Then today, Steph and I went to a party at her cousin’s. After that we were supposed to go to a party called Evaline. A massive house party that has been going on every Halloween for the last 17 years. But Steph ended up feeling too tired and sick, so I dropped her off at home and went and picked up Dyllan (who’s boyfriend, Greg, was also sick) to be my date.
Dyllan had never been to the Evaline party but had always heard it was crazy. She didn’t know just how crazy it was. It’s not often that you go to a private party so big that the house owner has to get a permit from the city.
1000 people packed into one house and a backyard. Carnival games, live bands, three open bars, sponsorship from local breweries. There’s even a roller coaster in the back yard. And people think my parties get nuts.
