Day 342 of 365 days.

Steph and I finally got our Who Wants to be a Millionaire. We will not be appearing on the show as a couple or individually. Honestly I wasn’t really expecting much, but it’s really par for the course. Now I’m getting GFYs from TV game shows.

I did manage to get all my prints for my show next week matted. I ended up going with all pics from 365 featuring me walking different areas in Pittsburgh.

I need a catchy name for the set. I don’t want to use 365 because there’s only 8 pics in it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to sell one or two. If I set my price around $50K I won’t have to work for quite a while.

I also have most of my Jammy Jam prizes bought. Maybe at least my birthday won’t suck this year.

Oh, I also have a job interview tomorrow. Maybe my life will change all of a sudden. I need it.

this is a great shot of a great shot! How about calling the show ‘walkabout’?

Seen in my contacts’ photos. (?)

OH man! I was so holding out hope for you on Millionaire. Stupid fuckers. They don’t know what they are missing.

The print looks fantastic…maybe some rich sugar mama will ‘discover’ you. 🙂

As for a title for the series….how about "Walk a Mile in My Shoes" ?

  3. July 19, 2007 at 11:50 pm

That looks really nice all matted up. Professional.

Maybe something like "Walk On" ?

Seen on my Flickr home page. (?)

I was looking for you cuz, everytime I saw the show on. too bad. but hey you’ve got better things ahead of you!! very nice pic by the way. you need a name…. "City Travels" I don’t know but it’s a thought.

  5. July 19, 2007 at 11:56 pm

I’ve decided not to watch that stupid show anymore. I’m boycotting it.

    Great picture by the way.

You should put the eight pictures in a set, so we could see them all and come up with a name.

    Their loss. Boo, asses.

  7. July 19, 2007 at 11:59 pm

    neat…

    "the journey is what counts"

@lalalaa Dolce Vita: thank you. I guess I should have made it clearer. I’m not actually walking in every shot. A lot of times I’m just leaning against something.

@sadandbeautiful (Sarah): One can only hope. Feel free to bring any rich sugar mamas you know with you.

@Christy9799: thank you. Same thing as before. I’m not actually walking in every shot.

    @AuVon: thanx. And hmm… that name might work… I dunno…

@Travelinjim: hahahah… that’s what Steph said. 🙂 And yeah, good idea. I’ll make a set right now.

  9. July 20, 2007 at 12:00 am

@adayinthelife: well, really, I think I need the million dollars more than they need me.

@saboegel: hmm… another one with promise.

  10. July 20, 2007 at 12:03 am

Their loss, sorry to hear that.

Love this photo. I have no catchy ideas for names, sorry.

  11. July 20, 2007 at 12:06 am

@.tara.: thank you and thank you and no big deal.

  12. July 20, 2007 at 12:07 am

Ok, I added a link to the set. Thanks for the idea, @Travelinjim.

  13. July 20, 2007 at 12:16 am

Having worked in TV, sadly their is a drastic amount of people who shouldn’t be on there, and the people who should be on there, aren’t. Just sayin’… but I totally understand where you are coming from.

  14. July 20, 2007 at 12:17 am

    @adayinthelife: oh… totally. I was just being self-deprecating. I’ll stop now. Really… well… soon… maybe.

  15. July 20, 2007 at 12:32 am

I like "boo asses" for a title

  16. July 20, 2007 at 12:35 am

    @ Qathi: *snickers*

@ Chris: No worries… I am good at that myself.

  17. July 20, 2007 at 12:39 am

@Qathi: well, my butt doesn’t appear in them all either. Maybe that’s what I should have done.

    @adayinthelife: its a gift.

  18. July 20, 2007 at 12:59 am

    how about "in transit"

    transit–noun
    1. the act or fact of passing across or through; passage from one place to another.

    2. a transition or change.

  19. July 20, 2007 at 1:01 am

@ms.Tea: i think "transit" here implys the Port Authority Transit (PAT) bus lines. Its a huge part of the city and I’m sure someone will be featuring it. Or I’d be surprised if they aren’t anyway.

  20. July 20, 2007 at 1:03 am

aak i was clarifying my use of transit. as you were answering, see above.
    🙂

  21. July 20, 2007 at 1:10 am

@ms.Tea: ah… yeah, I see. Still, I think people will misconstrue it and be like "where’s the bus?" Hmm… maybe not though. I dunno.

  22. July 20, 2007 at 1:22 am

I’ll have to think about the name thingy… but that framed print looks awesome! I am so impressed! Loved the shot, but the mat really does it justice!

as for millionaire.. who do they think they are? I was gonna be the best "lifeline" EVER! sigh… sorry, they don’t know what they’re missing.

  23. July 20, 2007 at 2:33 am

"Pittsburgh, on $5 a Day"… just a thought. As far as Millionaire goes, you probably didn’t put enough thought and contemplation into those stupid $100 – $500 questions. You have to milk that airtime….

Seen in my contacts’ photos. (?)

  24. July 20, 2007 at 9:37 am

@lrayholly: yep… sorry you won’t be getting your chance at fme. Even sorrier for not getting the million dollars.

@FadderUri: Actually, the tryout doesn’t work like that. You just answer questions on a test (which we passed) and then they interview you (which I guess we didn’t pass).

  25. July 20, 2007 at 11:11 am

I like ms. Tea’s idea (double meanings are cool in general…you know me and the puns :). It works for this pic, the one of you in the tunnel, the South Side pic and the headlights one (you’re literally "in" transit). (Can’t remember your other pics though.) Oh, I guess it now has triple meaning.

And Who Wants to be a Millionaire SUCKS!!!!!!!! I hate them. They are stoopid 🙂

  26. July 20, 2007 at 11:32 am

@beststephi: yeah, but I didn’t print the headlights one. Maybe I still could. I dunno.

  27. July 20, 2007 at 12:05 pm

I don’t think you need that one (but I DO like it). The one you’re holding here has triple meaning: you’re moving, it gives the impression that you’re going to a new life (play theme to tv version of the incredible hulk here), and you’re between train tracks (the "in" transit).

  28. July 20, 2007 at 3:57 pm

"city view "or "journey" hey I dont know just trying to help cuz you helped me out so thanx

  29. July 20, 2007 at 4:03 pm

Good luck with the interview Chris. You certainly deserve some good luck right now. Fingers crossed you sell some prints too 🙂

Seen on your photo stream. (?)

  30. July 20, 2007 at 6:23 pm

@beststephi: ooh… maybe I should play the incredible hulk music on loop next to my exhibit the entire time.

@AuVon: thank you. any help is always appreciated.

@metró: thanks and I hope so.

  31. July 20, 2007 at 8:13 pm

how about something that deals with the math of 8/365.

    like:

"2.2% of My Year" or "A Forty Fifth of My Year" or "Two Eighty-Ninths of My Year"

  32. July 20, 2007 at 8:20 pm

@Chaseism: that’s kinda an interesting idea.

  33. July 21, 2007 at 2:50 am

Sorry they didn’t picked you out (dumb asses)

But this is a really great shot – I love the print you’re holding! Good luck with your show!

  34. July 21, 2007 at 3:34 am

    @Cirkusprinsesse: thanks.

  35. July 29, 2007 at 12:24 am

I like this one a lot. Both the picture, and the picture in picture. It has a "real" feel that works for me. Self looking at self. Showing us 2 sides of self. Nice.

  36. July 29, 2007 at 12:38 am

@dayzoid: thank you. i’m glad you feel it works.

  37. July 29, 2007 at 1:00 am

Ya know, I work in the art world, and I see a lot of art work up close and personal, sometimes worth millions. And some of it, I wouldn’t give 2 cents for. So I don’t claim to be an expert on anything other than what I like, and what I don’t like. And so, when I say ‘it works for me’, stickler that I am about language, that’s exactly what I mean. I don’t know if it works. But I do know that I like it. Hope that’s enough for you.
    🙂

  38. July 29, 2007 at 1:23 am

@dayzoid: at the end of the day, I think that’s really the best anyone can offer. Thank you again.
