Bus Accident

For Class With Dave. Assignment: Reportage

Two city blocks in the Carrick region of Pittsburgh were blocked off today by police and fire personel after a minor accident involving two city buses and a gasoline truck. While the police were detouring traffic around, I took the opportunity to park my car and take advantage of my good luck for this weeks assignment. Not as cool as when I witnessed a shooting a couple months ago, but it was something.

Very newsworthy! You can even see the police car flashers! Did you set up an accident just so you could get this shot? 😉

@lrayholly: Umm, I had nothing to do with it. I was out of town at the time. That guy only looked like me.

(quiet, you know they’re watching me)

You are such a quick thinker! I saw an accident between a motorcycle and a bus yesterday, with parts strewn across an intersection. It didn’t even occur to me to take a picture of it until just now! Does that mean I am not worthy of being a news photographer? 🙂

Seen next to a fellow photo of Take a class with Dave & Dave. (?)

@Rachel-B: or it means that I am a callous bastard to took joy in others misfortune because it meant that I could finish an assignment for an internet photography group. But hey, you say tomato, I say tomato (that kinda loses something typed).

2 buses crashed into a gasoline truck and your photo isn’t full of flames? You could have at least photoshopped some in…

@wooble: eh… I don’t think it was really that bad. They were just taking precautions.
