Day 96 of 365 days.

Ever since I started letting my hair really grow out I developed kind of a nervous tick. Whenver I’m bored or stressed and can’t get to a cigarette, or I’m trying to not smoke them, I tend to braid my own hair. Lately I’ve noticed that the braids are even longer than I thought (this one being about 3-4 inches). I pretty much comb my hair straight back every day to maintain an "office respectable" appearance. One day I’ll be out of the computer industry and in grad school or working from home as a writer/artist or independent wealthy or something and I hope I can do more interesting things with my hair. I’d like to alternate between cornrows and a mighty 70s era ‘fro.

    That braid looks sooo long! Sorry I missed that ‘do tonight, probably looks good in person, but I might have ruined your chances of not smoking…..

    Hey cool. I’m planning to do the same thing with my hair. You know, if and when it ever grows long enough. How do you think I’d look with a fro?

    I was gonna say – I’d love to see a big ass fro, I have a preference for the big ass fro. I see (enjoy and appreciate) a lot of big ass fro bobbing to music, while out on doobie rolls (driving and smoking), bouncing along the streets, wrassled into puffs, OH! Puffs on boys, so cute! I think we need to see so fro.

    Just like "travelinjim", I’m gonna do my hair like that. Maybe next week.

    @shan: that’s ok. See you tonight?

    @jim: I’d love to see that

    @qathi: Yeah, I’d totally do afro puffs if I had enough hair

    @dave: thanx

    @rob: yeah, a week should be plenty of time for you to grow your hair out.

    Woops!!!! I must be your worst friend ever! i completely forgot about coming up there, b/c I was watching my favorite night of TV…..Earl, The Office, and Grey’s Anatomy! Now, I have to work tonight and tomorrow…….but Sunday, football??? And Monday, POKER (woohoo!!!)!

    @Jen: Actually, I have done my hair in a fro for wrestling shows before. The problem is it gets all messed up in a match no matter what.

    @Shan: Yep, you’re the worst friend ever. 😛 Don’t worry about it, I was curious what happened to you last night though. I just figured Doug had to work late again or something. We actually just ended up watching TV too. I don’t know about Monday football. Its really bad for Steph and we might be going back to Wednesdays. This Sunday I have a wrestling show, so I’ll be missing football. But don’t you have to work anyway?

    LOL — Soooooo many people have the "twiddle the hair" nervous or bored thing. My wife does. My daughter K (almost 5) does (she’s still breaking her hair off sometimes, so it’s thin on the L side…). I did for a while when I was a kid, and I sucked my thumb, but the hair thing didn’t persist for some reason past about the age of 8-10.
