I’ve heard that it is about ten hours to drive. Our roomate is moving to Pittsburgh in about five days, so I’m sure we’ll be up there for visits. We were thinking about moving there at one point and the idea isn’t completely off the table. Do you like it there?

I guess in regard to a town, I am looking for a place where there is still some sense of community, yet there are things to do. Art, culture, gainful employment, friends that really are your friends. Ya know.. stuff like that. Do you feel that way about Pittburgh?

I think Pgh fits. There are a lot of museums. There are some playhouses and stuff like that. There are a lot of people to hang out with. The gainful employment could be better, but it could be worse too. I guess that could be said of just about anywhere these days. People here complain about the city dying a lot. But it could be a lot worse. That said, its not NYC. But I guess that’s a good thing. It is to me, anyway. There’s definitely a lot of small town appeal, even though it certainly isn’t a small town.

makes a lot of sense and it’s kind of the vibe that I get from what I have heard. I have heard mixed reviews. originally from upstate NY and CT, I have been through PA plenty and it’s seems like an odd state. a little bit eery and creepy, large and beautiful too. never been through Pittsburgh, but this past xmas, I drove through Philly and it was pretty cool. so, we shall see what the future holds. I love the old buildings up North and i tlooks like housing is still pretty affordable in your area.
