on stupid laptop tricks…

so since I lost my background image when my laptop hard drive died (there you go, wooble), I decided I needed a new one. At least temporarilly. I had recently been impressed with the new craze in “transparent” desktop images, so I decided to make one of my own.

Most of the ones on the flickr photoset I linked to are of course better than mine, but hey, I did mine entirely with my camera phone (both for taking the background image pic and taking the final pic of the laptop). Maybe I’ll do a better one later when I have my real camera and card reader and stuff. I actually have a pretty decent idea for one.

Hmm. How can I get a good picture of the metal arm that holds up my iMac’s screen without destroying the entire machine?

yeah… I was thinking about those issues as well. I mean, sure, one could argue that the arm is part of the computer and should be invisible as well, but I think it’d be awesome if you could get it in the picture.

yep… macintoshes and teddy bears… that’s why all the chicks dig me. That and because I have a really cute butt.

you know you can buy your very own digital angel teddy bear from my website.

well, maybe not right now. But they aren’t going anywhere. You can save up. And while you’re at it, you could also get a Digital Angel T-shirt of your very own, so you could match the bear. And why stop there? There’s also a matching thong.

Heh heh, I love that idea…first I’ve heard of it. Here’s my so-so entry:

Actually using it as a background is underwhelming, however, because it’s too obviously a flat screen when viewed with stereoscopic vision. The picture of it is fun though. 🙂

Actually, I like yours better than mine. My desk suffers from the fact that there really isn’t anything interesting on it, so you’re basically seeing through the computer to an empty boring wall.

    THAT is so clever!
    I love it!
