on underworld…

bad bad bad bad bad movie… do not see… I repeat, do not see… do not be fooled by promises of special effects, or fight scenes, or fun vampire/werewolf romps or gorgeous starring actresses. Ok, Kate Beckingsale is really really cute, but its just not enough. That was by far the worst movie that I have seen in a long long long long long long long long long long long long long LONG time, and this is me talking…

sigh…. how do I remove the part of my brain that controls short term memory?

Eh. I just saw it as one of ‘those’ movies. Which mostly means that I got what I expected and wasn’t disapointed. It didn’t fail at being one of ‘those’ movies, but that’s all it was. Wish I could describe what I meant by ‘those’ but, eh.

You did see “The Hulk” right?
I think it’s worse when there’s potential for a good story but it’s taken in a dumb direction instead. Or Daredevil where the an interesting story is replaced with bad acting and the plot of “I am sexy. You are sexy. Now we must kung-fu.”

I also went in thinking that it was just going to be a mindless flick with cheesy special effects, and was for the most part pleasantly supprised. Worth the matinee price that I paid for it, but prolly not full price.

Hulk was aweful. I kinda understand what was being attempted, but I just don’t think that it was executed well. If you saw LXG, the Jeckyll/Hyde battle is much more in the direction of what I would’ve wanted to see for such a psychological battle for the Hulk.

see… I didn’t even think the cheesy special effects worked. In fact I thought they were pretty lame (even though they looked great in the trailer). And I thought the fight scenes were just horrendus… even for a mindless action flick, I just need better than that.

see, that’s the thing… I was kind of expecting one of “those” movies. But I didn’t even think it lived up to that. I thought they failed on even really basic levels.

No, I never did see the Hulk… everyone just kept telling me it was bad.

I can accept that. And you are vindicated from your comment that this was “the worst movie [you’d] seen in a long, long, …, long time.” by not having seen the Hulk. I say it was way worse.
