Day 727 of 365 More.

You know, maybe I have a future in this business after all.

Got a coffee table book that Amazon had recommended me today. I’m a huge fan of coffee table books. This one is called Katlick School by Sante D’Orazio. And it’s exactly the kind of thing that i would publish.

Essentially it’s 3 different photoshoots of a single model based around the Catholic school girl fantasy. The true brilliance of it is that for the most part, it’s intentionally "unerotic." It’s shot in a very editorial style. It’s understated in both pose and processing, and only the last of the shoots (a nude set) is really sexualized.

It really makes kind of a Lolita statement. Whereas I typically pervert and oversexualize my Catholic School Girl imagery, the fantasy is all about the outfit and like Humbert allow the imagination to create the eroticism. It’s brilliant.

Anyway, now I kinda want to do a coffee table book with one of my girls… As I write this, it’s 3:23 am. Lets see how long before Sarah volunteers. (hey babe!)

@SaylaMarz: yeah, she must not have read flickr yet this morning. I’m tempted to say she’s bumped in favor of you just to make her jealous. 🙂 Seriously though, there’s no reason I can’t do more than one book. I actually have a couple ideas for photobooks.

Of course, you’d still have to come visit, dammit! 🙂
