Day 29 of 365 days.
And the second day of my attempt to Bring Sexy Back. Sexy may be harder to return than I hoped. Spent over an hour this morning (much to Steph’s dismay) trying to get this shot. Wanted to use natural light, but as I was out at a party late last night, I got up a little later than I hoped, so it was brighter than I wanted. Lots of camera setting tweaking let me determine that I really do need a new camera. One with better F-stop control. Do I really care about this enough to make the jump to DSLR? Not sure yet.
So I spend another hour tweaking the pic in Photoshop to try and create the dreamy feel that I thought of when I first came up with the shot idea (last night) and eventually I got to this. Still not really happy about it. Its probably way to dark on non Macintoshes (didn’t have the heart to switch over to PC Gamma in pshop to check… curse the world and PC Gamma!), but eventually I decided that discretion was the better part of valor and to leave well enough alone.
Quite curious as to people’s opinions on this one.
More sexy tomorrow, I guess.
nice attempt on this one but i have to say you brought sexy back more yesterday….but you’ve got all day now to think of ideas and to set your alarm to wake up earlier tomorrow! it’s still good….

i think the light has affected the colors in a bad way the image looks grainy and it lacks the sharp details

not too dark, IMO. very nice, in fact. 🙂 i was thinking about your subject matter, and "sexy" (like beauty) is so subjective. this evokes passion and sexiness, yes. for me, this photo doesn’t feel like a static image of sexiness (like fashion mag kind of sexy)…but it feels like a moment that bleeds out from the photo into the world of passion and foreplay and intimacy (the lighting & the grain convey "morning lovin’")….which can be uncomfortable for some people who are used to a more commercial/capitalist notion of sexy.

The graininess of the image makes it look like webcam. I like the candid style, and that’s what makes the picture interesting to me..
