For the record, I never made anyone hit a pole repeatedly. I made you hit each other’s arms repeatedly, and often insterted myself which may have upped the stakes now and again.
I simply showed you guys the existance of the pole drill and you freaking lunatics started doing it all the time.

On a funny note, a few years back (and after a period of advancement for me) I tried to demo that and broke clean through the stick on the first strike. I stood there with a confused look on my face for a second (I didn’t know I could do that and the people holding it were really surprised cause apparently they didn’t know either) and then said, “obviously we are dealing with inferior lumber in this case.”
