Concession Speech

Dammit! I lost… next time I will have to announce my candidacy earlier. Who wants to campaign for me?

I lost too. Obviously, the problem is we split our votes.

So, despite the bitter and rancorous tone of this campaign, i’m willing to extend the first fuzzy olive branch of bipartisan cooperation–I will vote for you in ’04, if you take the No Desk For Kayleigh pledge.

This is clearly the most important issue our country faces. Today, a desk; tomorrow, chemical and biological weapons. Where does the madness end?

Oh, but of course… If elected, I not only promise not to provide Kayleigh with a desk, but I will make it my staff’s mission to find Kayleigh and remove any desk, table, or shelf that she might currently be sitting in front of.

All right. I hereby endorse Chris Maverick to represent the City of Pittsburgh’s 14th ward in congress (and the 23rd district representative seat in the general assembly). I’ll vote for him in the 2004 election and encourage all my fellow citizens to do likewise.
