The first photosketch I did. One of these days, I’m going to have to do a new shoot and sketch of Stephanie.
The second in my series of photosketches. Heavilly Nagel/Mukai inspired, I guess. I often think I should do more of this basic style.
The third photosketch in the series. I like it because its a bit more casual than the rest, and the real life vs drawing aspect is pretty striking in the foreground (at least I think so). Used in LJ entry: chrismaverick.livejournal.com/215387.html
the fourth photosketch. And probably the simplest. But I really like that it kinda at its most basic shows how the process works.
The fifth photosketch I did. I should do a whole series of sketches with bloggers and have entries of their journals integral to the piece like this.
The sixth photosketch, and where I started trying to repeat themes. I was going for the same feel as I had with the Diane picture. But I don’t think the end result was as strong. I also find the composition more cluttered than I’d like.
The seventh photosketch. This time I was trying recreate the style of the Stephanie picture. And again, I didn’t feel like it came across as well as I would have liked.
The eighth photosketch. This one incorporates ideas from Diane, Regina and Mathilde. I like how it turned out a lot. Might have to strive for this look in future pics as well. I would have liked to have done the journal/blog trick as I did with the Regina pic, but I felt that would have been too much, and didn’t want to overcompose it like I did with Cheryl
