Terrordome-1

Terrordome-1

I had been wanting to shoot with Miss Anthropy for a while and she was interested in doing something with Damsel, who’s modeled for me before. They pulled in another girl they knew, Amanda, and we ended up doing a post apocalyptic thing in a junkyard.

Naturally we had no such permission to do so, so once we set off the alarm, the owner showed up. He liked the idea so he helped us set up a few cool shots, much more so than we could have done on our own.

I love it when a shoot works out.

Day 978 of 365 Again. I really need to come up with some good photo ideas. I’ve totally been phoning it in lately. *sigh* Amaya, one of my four favorite Hellcats, is visting Pittsburgh this week for the first time in months. If you don’t know, the Cosmic Hellcats are based on my favorite models…

Day 972 of 365 Again. Spent the evening trying to catch up on photos. Usually I only ever post like four or five photos at a time, and try to stretch things out, but I’m so far behind at the moment that I really need to just get through things. So as a special treat…

XVI-Tower 2

XVI-Tower 2

Usually I only post four or five photos from a shoot at a time, but I’m still running way behind, so I spent the evening editing my entire shoot with Jonny.

It’s rare that I find male models on Model Mayhem, and it’s even rarer that one contacts me. But Jonny did and volunteered for the Tarot deck. Which was perfect because he had exactly the right look for my redo of the Tower Card. He was looking for some TFCD work in my style and in particular liked some of my motifs I use a lot (martial arts weapons and the comic posterization for the tarot deck). So it all worked out pretty good.

Day 967 of 365 Again. There’s this fire dancer I want to use as a model for my Tarot Card set. A couple months ago, I asked her if she knew how to breathe fire and she told me she hadn’t learned that yet. I was kinda bummed about that because I had what I…

Eight of Cups

Eight of Cups

I have a hard time finding male models. I get a lot of my female models through Model Mayhem but there just aren’t as many men there.

Luckily I know a gazillion male wrestlers. Facade was perfect for my Eight of Cups card. I asked him to do it ages ago, but we only recently got around to shooting it. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

Day 961 of 365 Again. You know, in a lot of ways, the pitchblack shadowed background thing is kind of my trademark. I really kind of developed the style to be used in the tarot deck. And I do love the style. But at this point I just really look forward to days where I…

Urban Terror 24

Urban Terror 24

The last of my Urban Terrorist series. it was fun working with the girls. I’ve worked with Chaste a couple times before (and she’s one the models that comic strip is based on, but this was the first time I got to work with Merci Rae, even though I’ve known her for a couple years. Totally worth the wait. It was great to be able to do something outside the studio and with a different look to it. I love the story telling aspect and the alternate color treatment too. I’m going to have to venture out of my comfort zone more often.
