Day 255 of 365 days. Most people hate the winter, I’m now missing it. Today was the first day this spring that I had to mow the lawn. The last couple years, I haven’t had to mow my own lawn because I used to pay the guy who lived across the street (a professional gardner/landscaper)…

Spent the day with my friend Cheryl who is visiting from Seattle. Obviously no one can visit me without doing a photoshoot. So this is the first of the shots that I have processed of her. More to come when we’re done hanging out.
Back before I was a bum (errr… starving artist), I used to be a pretty decent user interface (UI) designer. Cheryl was my intern. Over the years she’s become a really good friend. These days, Cheryl lives in Seattle where she designs video games for Nintendo Gameboys (right now she’s doing Shrek 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 3). She’s also one of the voices in the game the crazy successful Sims video games (she’s a little easier to understand in real life). So whenever you play a video game, keep in mind that it might not exist were it not for my supremely excellent mentoring skills.
