Taken for the Class with Dave group. The assignment was to make a partial desaturation/color cutot picture with on one color. This is of course something I’ve done a bunch so it wasn’t that big a deal. But I tried to find a good subject to do it with. Steph was nice enough to pose for me for a pic (a rare occurance actually) and this is what I came up with.
I think it’s nice…..quite pretty.
The silky stuff looks real good. I assume you used a quick mask?

@Whiffleboy: Thank you. I hate quick mask and almost never use it. I’m old school and prefer to do it the old fashioned way. In this case, building a mask on the adjustment layer using the pen tool and the retouching it by hand with brushes.

This works well because the partial desaturation is quite subtle…. I really like her slightly confused expression… it’s lovely.
@rachel sian: thanx. I’m not sure if it was confuision or aggravation. She really doesn’t like posing for me all that much.
