Presidential Archives – WWE Edition

Attention…

I’d just like to point out that as of 9:21AM, Eastern Daylight Time, July 2, 2017, the United States Presidential Archives now OFFICIALLY forever includes a video of the President of the United States of America in a catfight with a man with a CNN logo for a head outside of a WWE wrestling ring with commentary form Michael Cole while Jerry the King Lawler squeals, endorsed by and added to said archives by the President himself. Because this is the world we live in.

If you’re not a wrestling fan…. well, Just take a moment to breathe that in. Let it sit with you… and feel what it really means for history.

If you are a wrestling fan… then ask yourself… Why in God’s name wasn’t Joey Styles calling that match?

That is all.

Being in the middle of history is never fun, really. I don’t mean the regular march of time which is history. I mean the stuff that gets MANY books written about it later. You know. The Fall of Rome. The War of the Roses. The Irish Fight for Independence. The Civil War. That Time America Elected a Psychopathic, Narcissistic Moron to Be Its President.

Back in November in the grad office I told people “we study the fall of civilizations for a living. When are you ever going to get another chance to do it from the inside?”

I have said much the same thing myself. Despite obvious differences, I believe you and I have bene cut from the same cloth. Different pieces of the print, apparently, but that’s it.

Now there is a character arc I totally did not see coming. Who knew? I totally adore her these days.

Yeah. I think she’s great on the show. Which is good because I’ve been a Taryn Manning fan for a long time.

Agreed. A couple seasons ago I would have been happy if she left the show, but now she’s great.

    The idiocracy has officially arrived.

[This place is being saved for a joke about the psychological effect known as the Flynn effect, which is now questionable, and a clever connection to the Michael Flynn scandal.]

Heather Thomas-owens The movie has transformed from a satirical comedy to an actual documentary.

      Yep sad but true

I miss Joey Styles on commentary. Though he’s currently in charge of web articles and the like, so maybe I should check that out sometime.

I’m not remotely surprised by that. My mom is rather far from redneck (and not nearly as blue blood as she tries to act sometimes) but if you ask her progressive liberals are the greatest evil this world has ever faced, every one of us an atheist in league with Satan and hellbent on destroying God’s utopia that is a religious conservative USA.

Steve Shaffer the best part to me is that he is only saying what he actually believes.

The fact that southern liberals at least seems to be a growing demographic is a good thing. Too bad there are still so many stereotypical rednecks in that part of the country. Well meaning and good hearted people by many accounts, but that doesn’t make up for outdated ideals.
