Lisa: Little did you know how inappropriate you were.

    sex-ay shoulders!
Seriously, this is just another thing to add to the #yesallwomen movement. Instead of teaching boys that simply seeing skin (even SHOULDER skin) doesn’t warrant acting like assholes…. this school “fixes” the girls. Because the fault is obviously on the girls for showing any skin. (not to mention this is just ridiculous and speaks more to the idiots in charge than to the BOYS, I bet)

Dawn: You don’t understand! As a male, when we see shoulders we go crazy!!! We can’t be held responsible for our actions! They’re shoulders for God’s sake! Why just yesterday I was looking through the newest issue of Playboy. You should check out the shoulders on that babe! My wife says they’re implants… but honestly… I just don’t care! They’re like perfectly articulated right angles! That girl has “full range of motion” if you know what I mean!

    Yeah… uh… Mr. Shoemaker kinda has problems….

So funny right…too much shoulder means your a loose girl cover up…!! Geesh…turtlenecks are us! !! And no red lipstick you Scarlett …lmbo

Ebonii: Oh my god! You even are wearing a tank top in your profile pic!!!! Someone stone her!

  11. May 29, 2014 at 10:31 pm

I can find pics of our cheerleading skirts, nevermind the shoulders…we were very confident back then lol great story and thank you for including me:)

  12. May 29, 2014 at 10:37 pm

Melissa: honestly I don’t even remember the akhs cheerleading uniforms. Were they tanktops? I just picked four women from high school off the top of my head who I thought would find it funny.

And I’m glad unlike Ebonii you now have a decent shoulderless profile pic.

    Now show us your boobs!

I should totally offer to come to Utah and shoot a free all lingerie year book for all the girls who got edited if they take up a collection to fly me out the day after the last one turns 18.

  14. May 29, 2014 at 10:46 pm

Those cheerleading skirts barely covered our asses sophomore year!

  15. May 29, 2014 at 10:47 pm

Maybe I should have started Cosmic Hellcats back then! (cheap plug!)

  16. May 29, 2014 at 10:53 pm

Yeah. You want me to police skirt length AND than tell me to let cheerleaders wear their short akirts.

  17. May 29, 2014 at 10:56 pm

its ok to be sexy when you’re helping the football team win.

Funny start the fund raising now….use it as new cartoon. …you are fundraising across the street with a table of assorted pieces and photo shoot ready…captions reads did you get covered up, well now get even…!! ..lol

Ironically, the outfit looks better in the new photo. I hope the new photo was just scanned poorly for this post because I’d be much more upset about the out of focus picture.

  20. May 30, 2014 at 1:57 am

It so does not look better. It’s impossible to have sleeves on that particular dress. It looks idiotic.

Also it’s horrible use of Photoshop for pointlessness. If you’re going to retouch photos you do it to make the client happier not to depress them.

  21. May 30, 2014 at 3:04 am

This sucks on so many levels! The dress code is sexist and shames women, the school said nothing during the shoot, gave no notification or chance to take another picture, AND, to quote doc brown “that’s some pretty mediocre photographic fakery”.

  22. May 30, 2014 at 3:26 pm

Also, if they’ve actually given notice that they’re going to touch up photos for dress code that’s one (obnoxious) thing. But the fact that they removed tattoos as well is bullshit.

  23. May 30, 2014 at 3:33 pm

I mean, if they want to fix the visible bra strap, that’s one thing, but discuss it with the young lady. Is it like a big secret to other students that bras are a thing? But the rest of the edit is just pathetic.

I’m not trying to comment on what’s appropriate in a dress code and the ramifications as such, why women have to cover up, etc.
All I want to say is that if a school has a dress code, so be it… then fricken enforce it. These kids were probably allowed to wear those outfits throughout the year and never questioned once. They should have been called out on their outfit first thing in the morning, each morning, and made to change. If they were not regularly enforcing the code, then the pictures should have been allowed to stay in unmodified. Talk about teaching them a lesson…
Though I do agree it should have been handled differently, I.e. You are violating the dress code, the picture will not be used or modified to be used unless you get it retaken on makeup days or provide an adequate replacement. Have them know before hand so they could fix it.
