Day 1028 of 365 Again.

You know in the old days a ton of people use to read my 365s. These days, the only time anyone really looks at my flickr stream is when I post pics of a hot chick. Well, no hot chick today, but dammit, this is something just as good and I want people to pay attention.

So Steph and I play poker with friends most week. My game has been featured here before. We play $10 buy-in, no limit, texas hold’em. At $10, there’s not a lot of money to be won, but it’s more about the fun.

Anyway, tonight, for the first time ever, I hit a Royal Flush. The pinnacle of poker. The stone-cold nuts!

Hell yeah, bitches.

For those who aren’t poker fans, the odds of hitting a royal flush in poker are 1 in 649,749. Not quite one in a million but damn hard. We’ve never even seen one in our game before.

Well, now we have.

I went on to lose the game a couple hours later, mostly due to dumb luck. But dammit, it was worth it. I paid $10 to be dealt a royal flush.

I kick ass.

Who wants to touch me?

The odds of being dealt a royal flush in 5-card stud are 1 in 649,749. The odds of getting a royal flush in texas holdem are significantly better.
