Day 1010 of 365 Again.

So this Tuesday is an election day in Pennsylvania. Exciting huh? Well, not so much. You see, it’s a primary. As I am registered as an independent, neither the republican party, nor the democratic party really gives a damn about my opinion on things and therefore I don’t get to vote for anything fun in this week’s election. But that’s ok, because it’s just to decide candidates, not for the actual mayor, right? Well, yes, except I also live in Pittsburgh, and no republican has won anything so much as president of the third grade class in this city in the last 947 years. So pretty much everything will be decided by the democratic primary and the actual election in November is kinda non-issue. Wheee.

What I really hate though is commercial like the one I saw tonight. See, we have this odd phenomenon here here where people running for Judge, don’t really declare their party. So Judge So-and-so runs as both a democrat and a republican, that way if you are one of those "pull the party line" voters, you end up voting for him no matter what. That’s the main reason I started the whole "vote for me in all non-opposed elections" campaign. There should always be a choice.

But now, the more I think about it. I’d be a great judge. A new school judge. No robes. No gavels. Just a lone crusader dishing out two-fisted frontier justice. Evil doers beware!

Pipe-hitting Judge Maverick! I’d rock!

So you know, if you’re in Pennsylvania, especially if you’re in Pittsburgh, I’d appreciate your support at the polls on Tuesday.

I’m Chris Maverick, and I approve this message, BIATCH!

r3g: Thanks. Whenever I don’t have a good idea for a daily shot (which is a lot, sadly) I resort to studio camera tricks.

lrayholly: heh. You think I’ll win?

Why do you not actually own a lead pipe for a photo prop?

    That gives me an idea….

once again congrats on the urban terror/ terror dome shoot>> just so you know, there is huge interest in that sort of thing>> Theres a video game called Fallout 3 thats based on a post apocalyptic world and is winning every game of the year award there is. That may not sound like a big deal but gaming today is a multi-billion dollar industry>> the new Terminator is coming out (everytime they fuck up a sequel, like terminator 3, they gotta call the next one redemption, or salvation, or resserection>> wtf is with all the biblical references?? Anyways kool, thought id mention it, and oh ya, James Cameron is doing an apocalyptic movie called Battle Angel. stick with what youre doing, peace out y’all haha

backalley brawler: Glad you like them. Really, I am. I know there’s a market, but it’s still a niche one. I definitely don’t get the same play with them that I do with more standard glamour stuff, but i still think they were really fun. In fact, I just put the very last of the Terrordome pics up tonight, so check them out.

And yeah, I’m familiar with Fallout 3. I actually know a couple people who worked on it, and in fact several of my friends (including the guy who commented right before you) are NPCs in the game.

This is a great image with wonderful lighting.
I just wanted to thank you for creating 365 Days.
And just like last year, I wanted to pay tribute to one of your shots on what is now Founder’s Day.
Thanks so much for affecting the lives of so many Chris.
