Day 772 of 365 Again.

First of all, I guess, apologies to anyone who reads this over the RSS feed instead of on flickr. RSS feeds don’t have safety filters, so If you’re reading this on your work computer and are promptly getting fired… well, she’s hot enough that it’s worth it right?

Anyway after going weeks without doing a photoshoot, I had four scheduled for this weekend. Both of the Saturday ones ended up getting postponed, but i ended up doing two today. Most of the shots I took today were for my super secret project that I’ve alluded to a couple times, so they won’t be showing up here, at least not for a while, but I did take some shots of both Virginia and Viki that should be making their way into flickr land sooner or later. The shoot with Virginia ws very extensive. I ended up having to enlist several assistants. Not that they complained in the slightest. The neatest thing about this whole photographer thing is that there are no shortage of guys who come up to me and are like "dude, you have the coolest job ever!" Well, there you go. Virginia was nice enough to pose in this one with just so I could show people that, yes… I pretty much do.

Now if only I could do it full time…. I’m working on it.

Did the processing on this one from start to finish in Lightroom. Something I’ve been meaning to work on more and haven’t really gotten into it. Naturally I’m still going to prefer using Photoshop for any truly creative pieces, but I may be doing some more extensive things in the future. Weddings and the like, and I should probably get used to doing batch edits as much as possible.

    Hot damn. Dude, you have the coolest job ever!

    This hardly ever happens in the course of being in-house counsel at a life insurance brokerage.

    I love the combination of clothing and nudism here. It’s somehow much hotter with clothes in the shot.

    ….I tried lightroom once, and I managed to degrade the quality of my image bigtime. I think I’ll stick to photoshop, layers, and nondestructive editing!

    tones here are beautiful……I agree with SaylaMarz…….it is hotter with clothes in the shot……

    Way to get the ball rolling. Her expression rocks.
    Were you using jpg or RAW? Doing edits with jpg’s in Lightroom you are gonna have some degradation no matter what. Using a RAW image and making a virtual copy of ones I want to edit i lose nothing. Give it another shot.

    This is fierce, I love it.

    I have actually made the transition from Photoshop to Lightroom. I use Photoshop to do creative things and such but to just tweak the image, Lightroom is the way to go. Its geared more to the photography aspect.

    Like Mikey said though, you need to shoot in RAW to take advantage of what Lightroom can do.

    Great shot Mav.

    Lightroom rocks…

    Lightroom edits are non-destructive on Jpegs too. The edits get stored in the metadata, Lightroom doesn’t change the pixel data.

    I didn’t get this one in my RSS. Not sure if it was due to prior settings or that it can only be seen whilst logged in to flickr.

    @madmolecule: yep. It’s nice.

    @SaylaMarz: yeah. I was actually intending to do it the opposite way, But it worked better like this.

    @psgypsy: thanks.

    @Mikey aka DaSkinnyBlackMan: yeah. I always shoot in RAW myself. Makes a world of difference.

    @Kungfukitten: thank you.

    @theshape: I use both. I process stuff so heavy that LR rarely does everything I want. But it’s a good start.

    @denovich: yeah. It’s kinda neat really.

    @lrayholly: I totally didn’t know what you meant by permission for the longest time.

    @navigator23: yeah, I realized later that it wouldn’t export unsafe images, which is probably for the best really.
