Day 540 of 365 More.

Don’t I look so pretty? Ok, maybe not.

I bought a vanity, to use in one of my Tarot card shoots that is coming up. I was kind of wondering what I would do with it after its over though. But I kind of like it. I may just leave it in the studio as a makeup table. It’s probably a good thing to have.

Plus, it’s just really nice looking.

Man! I was going to tell you to put it in the truck and bring it down here to me! I love it!

    Good photo too!

Seen in my contacts’ photos. (?)

    I feel pretty,
    Oh so pretty,
I feel pretty and witty and gay!
    And I pity
Any girl who isn’t me today!

    I feel charming,
    Oh so charming,
It’s alarming how charming I feel!
    And so pretty
That I hardly can believe I’m real.

See the pretty girl in that mirror there:
Who can that attractive girl be?
    Such a pretty face,
    Such a pretty dress,
    Such a pretty smile,
    Such a pretty me!

    I feel stunning
    And entrancing,
Feel like running and dancing for joy,
    For I’m loved
    By a pretty wonderful boy!

@lrayholly: heh… I think that would cost more than just buying you one. They weren’t that expensive.

@sassyshannon999: geeze… ganging up on me!

    @phlewght:
    When you’re a Jet,
You’re a Jet all the way
    From your first cigarette
    To your last dyin’ day.

    When you’re a Jet,
If the spit hits the fan,
    You got brothers around,
    You’re a family man!

    You’re never alone,
    You’re never disconnected!
    You’re home with your own:
    When company’s expected,
    You’re well protected!

    Then you are set
    With a capital J,
    Which you’ll never forget
    Till they cart you away.
    When you’re a Jet,
    You stay a Jet!

There I feel much manlier now.

@spresogna: *blush* Are you saying I have a top notice body?

    @MegaBee: quiet you!

But when you’re a Jet… you prance around onstage like you’re pretty and witty and gay. I mean, c’mon now. How is any part in musical theatre supposed to make someone feel manlier? 😉

@mickeysacks: nobody ever feels like a pussy if they get to bang Natalie Wood.

    Boy, boy, crazy boy,
    Get cool, boy!
Got a rocket in your pocket,
    Keep coolly cool, boy!
    Don’t get hot,
    ‘Cause man, you got
    Some high times ahead.
    Take it slow and Daddy-O,
You can live it up and die in bed!

    Boy, boy, crazy boy!
    Stay loose, boy!
Breeze it, buzz it, easy does it.
    Turn off the juice, boy!
    Go man, go,
But not like a yo-yo, schoolboy.
    Just play it cool, boy,
    Real cool!

Make sure you’re doing the Jerome Robbins choreography here, Riff.

That appears to be a classic piece of furniture. Run into a space problem? It has a good home…..

    By the way…..

@DeHoll: Hey Man! I see you sneaking in there! I’ve got Dibs! 😀

I love that, in the mirror, you are looking at the camera. Perfect.

  14. February 4, 2008 at 8:17 pm

@phlewght: I’m working on the finger snapping.

@DeHoll: nah, I’ve got room for it.

@adayinthelife: yeah, I look forward to doing the actual shoot for it.

  15. February 5, 2008 at 1:00 am

The finger snapping is the easy part. It’s crossing foot over foot as you walk forward in a crouch, with the beat — that’s much harder, especially if you’re a white boy with no formal dance training [points awkwardly at self].

But hey, I learned to do the bottle dance for Fiddler on the Roof — 6 performances and no drops off my head! And there was no cheating by using tape, glue or velcro to hold the bottle on the hats. Just a partially-filled bottle’s center-of-gravity, hat-felt friction, and graceful motion. [falls off chair] So I could probably learn how to dance like a Jet, given enough time….

@sassyshannon999: believe it or not, I love West Side story… ok, really, I’m going back to being straight now…
