This is actually one of the earliest ideas I had. When I realized I wanted to use dead and hurt people for the five cards, I decided that I had to do the old tradition of placing coins over the eyes for the coin card. And then when I found out Marlo had a wedding dress, the whole thing just came together.
Somehow, I like the juxtaposition of a wedding and a funeral at the same time. Somehow to me, nothing says worry like a bride who has died in her wedding dress, still holding the bouquet.
I was gonna mention the juxtaposition then I saw you mention it.
Excellent job. The camera loves Marlo.
@Mikey aka DaSkinnyBlackMan: thanks. I’m glad the concept worked for someone other than me.
I would’ve gone with black coins instead of… are those red? Other than that, I do like the shot. The dark flowers work well, and the veil reminds me of the hair of a body floating in the water.
Gives me heebie jeebies

Seen in my contacts’ photos. (?)
@MegaBee: I just don’t really like how the black coins look in sepia. They’re too overpowering.
@lrayholly: hmmm… I guess it’s working then.
Okay, I can see that.
When I saw the thumbnail, it looked like this was an upskirt shot and I really didn’t think those were flower stems. I can’t not miss-interpret that now, even when I view the larger picture.
i have to agree with denovich. when i saw the thumbnail, i thought, "he didn’t!" but i see you didn’t…. and i’m glad!
@denovich and @pi c’s: you know it’s funny. I guess its just your first impression, because I’m TRYING to look at it that way, and i can’t see it at all.
