Day 395 of 365 More.

So today I made the decision to accept an offer from what I was calling company #2. I was holding out a bit for company #1 to see what their offer was, but they still weren’t ready to make me one yet, and I like company #2 better anyway, so it would have been a money thing that would have deterred me, and if I’ve learned anything throughout my professional life, its that money is NOT the most important thing on a job.

Anyway, I might do some contracting for company #1 at some point. Or I might never hear from them again.

At any case, now I just sit back and hope I made the right decision.

I start tomorrow morning. My life moves fast.

    @Mikey aka DaSkinnyBlackMan: Yeah, taking hot girls to the beach is easy. You’re at the rough part now… days upon days of photo editing. But its still fun, isn’t it?

  8. September 10, 2007 at 9:59 pm

    @dayzoid: me too… thanks.

    I had a second shoot that day. I don’t even feel like touching those right now.

  11. September 10, 2007 at 10:17 pm

    @Travelinjim: thanks. I appreciate it.

    @Mikey aka DaSkinnyBlackMan: tell me about it. I still haven’t finished with that waterfall shoot. And I have a second shoot with Rachael and her mom to go through. I feel so bad being this far behind.

    What? Are you trying to take my record from me? I lasted only 2 weeks without bitterness! 🙂 I think you’ll last much, much longer. This job could actually mean something to you. Let’s touch base tomorrow after work. Congrats!

    Well I am happy for you, I know how long you have been searching for a job. Good luck tomorrow. So does this mean I have to find another Clyde??? 😛

  23. September 11, 2007 at 7:18 pm

    Woo Hoo!! That’s excellent! I’m so excited for you….and you’re right….the money is often the least important factor in keeping one happy at a job. Sure, it’s enticing…but sometimes that’s all it is….and the money won’t make you happy if you don’t like the job/company/colleagues… ya know.

    So, awesome! I’m excited for you….let’s see how much harder it is for you now to do 365 as a non-bum ;-p

  24. September 11, 2007 at 8:17 pm

    yay job! also, I think I might sign up to do 365 for next year when I go to china…

  25. September 11, 2007 at 9:12 pm

    @lrayholly: well, I’m not bitter yet… but I am dead tired.

    @metró: me too. Thanks.

    @shannon_mills35: thank you. More money would be nice, but its nice to be working and its nice to not hate what I’m doing too.

    @Cirkusprinsesse: well, it was today, but thanks.

    @KatColorado: thanks. I’m happy about it too.

    @PhotoKat: of course not! You say the word, toots, and I’m there.

    @pi c’s: well, it is important, but its not the only thing. And yeah, the 365s will probably suffer a bit, but honestly, I haven’t been that inspired lately anyway. Maybe this will rejuvenate me.

    @mothofspades:
    thanks and yay! 365! Oh, and I’m gonna try to get the rest of your pics up soon. I put some others up already if you haven’t seen them.

    in my drawing class we had to do a bunch of modified contour drawings of hands, and this really reminded me of it. one girl did the crossed fingers hand, and i love that hands can convey an idea or emotion. not many other parts of the body are as expressive, if any. great photo 🙂

  27. September 12, 2007 at 8:03 am

    @Painted Jezebel: yeah, drawing hands is one of my favorite things to do when I’m really bored. An a comic book artist I know once told me that "there’s no excuse to ever draw a bad hand. You have two of them for reference right there in front of you."

  28. September 14, 2007 at 11:08 pm

    Life’s short.
    Good to see your living it.

  29. September 14, 2007 at 11:36 pm

    @Angus Blacksheep: I don’t know that that’s really living life. It’s something.

  30. September 15, 2007 at 6:35 am

    @Mav – I’m always a bit behind ;o)

  31. September 15, 2007 at 10:27 am

    @Cirkusprinsesse: that’s ok. I appreciate it in any case. 🙂

  32. May 20, 2008 at 10:11 pm

    woohoo! holy hell I’ve been reading your 365 entries for 3 days now starting with day 1 year 1, it was starting to depress me LOL I knew you had a job just didn’t know when you got it till now. Is it too late to have a party? I know I’m months behind but hell… anytime is a good time for a party.

  33. May 22, 2008 at 2:32 pm

    @~*Denise*~: thank you. Yeah, I definitely need a party. I should throw one.
