Day 275 of 365 days.

How in the name of all that is good and holy did people mow lawns before they invented hot tubs?

I stayed up late last night working on my most recent tarot card.. I didn’t really intend to work on it all night, but once I got on a roll, I figured I might as well finish. Finally got to bed around 6 or 6:30am.

I woke up just in time to see Steph for a few minutes before she went off to hang out with her family for mother’s day. Then I took a short nap and called my own mother.

Eventually, I managed to drag myself out of bed and decided to mow my lawn. I also mowed my next door neighbor’s lawn since he was nice enough to do mine next week. I should talk to him about trading off on alternating weekends. The lawns a lot easier to deal with when you take care of it once a week.

Anyway, after that, I did one of my most favorite things. I took a nice relaxing hot tub soak with a nice big margarita. My back had been hurting lately, and that was just what I needed. How people who don’t have hot tubs function from day to day is completely beyond me.

Now I’m sitting around watching Prozac Nation on DVD its almost good enough to where its not overshadowed by the fact that Christina Ricci is naked and hot in the opening scene. Almost.

Very cool pic, even better day! Productive AND Rewarding…that’s a good Sunday 😉 I love those white backgrounds… I need some bright lights dang it, my gooseneck desk lamp doesn’t quite do the trick. Next $ I get, I’m going to the Home Depot!

@lrayholly: the home depot lights are only like $10. They aren’t great. I just used them because they were directable. What’s really important is getting good bright bulbs. Maybe I should have gotten you those instead of coffee… oh well.

Hey! The coffee is great! I’ve got no complaints there! I’ll figure out the lights… gives me something to work towards 😉

I still haven’t mastered the true ‘high key’. There’s something I’m not getting.
You have an adorable expression on your face here.

I wish I had a hot tub. I have no idea how I function, either. 😉

@lrayholly: well, I’m glad you’re liking the coffee. Good luck on the lights.

@sadandbeautiful (Sarah): the big secret is to over light the white backdrop with flood lights so that it gets blown out when you overexpose. Then I do some correction with levels, the dodge tool, filling in selections and what not. And you’re welcome to come over and use the hot tub anytime you want… it’s only like a 5 hour drive.

@foxinthecity: I use a white backdrop with a lot of light on it. Check my response to sadandbeautiful (Sarah) above.

@pi c’s: yeah, its quite tragic. I’m amazed you’re still alive.
