Witness the grandmother of all back up shots.
It was a pretty long day. First I got a rejection letter in the mail for a job that claims I interviewed well, but I don’t remember even applying for, much less interviewing for.
From there, Steph and I went to Gina’s house where I helped her pack up the truck for her move.
And then I topped the day off by going to a party thrown by one of Steph’s coworkers where I knew pretty much no one, and for the most part was ignored by everyone (until about 10 min. before we left when a couple people sorta kinda started to take an interest in me for five minutes before getting wrapped up in their own conversation again.
But at least they had very good banana bread there.
The banana bread is very blurry…does that make it taste better?
What the hell? Did the dude across from you just take off his gym shoes? Were his feet fresh? Jeez, that’s rather unappetising. You really didn’t want to talk to these people anyway, did you?

LOL! Here I am sitting eating a banana muffin.
Lol, did they not take any notice when you took out your camera and took a picture of their feet?
@max1975: Hmm… I dunno… maybe that is why. It was good though.
@lrayholly: Actually, no. There was just a pair of big shoes there and one of the attractions of the party was that people coiuld try them on and walk around. Seriously. It wasn’t really my kinda party.
@The Nocturnal Wench: Generally, I prefer blueberry.
@SU365: The first time, no… later on I took it out again and snapped another couple shots, just in case and they noticed. Which is why people bothered to talk to me for 5 mins.
Ewwwwww, that explanation is even worse than some random guy just taking off his sneakers at a party! That was an attraction? Everybody walking around in a big pair of shoes? Oh boy, that sounds like a swinging good time… Not

@lrayholly: Yeah, its not exactly hottubs, live bands and girls running around the house in their underwear is it? I guess some people have different tastes than I do.
I walk around in big shoes all the time. That party had nothing for me!
@MegaBee: Oh… but you see, these weren’t big in that direction. They were gym shoes with 8 inch platform soles. It was oh so exciting. And she bought them on sale for only $10. And at the same time there was a purchase of boots with 8 inch heels like a *gasp* stripper. But those weren’t out for people to see. A little to scandalous, you know? Yeah, it wasn’t really my kinda place.
Damn! She should’ve hid the gym shoes & worn the boots! I’ll bet you would have appreciated the "stripper" boots a lot more!

@lrayholly: not really. I know people who dress like that all the time. Besides, I think she thinks of them more as a gag.
Oh. Um… how about that banana bread?
@MegaBee: well… it really was tasty. I can’t front on the banana bread at all.
wow. sounds like a rockin’ party. </sarcasm> how did you end up at such a sad party? you just kind of tagged along, huh? i guess you’ll know not to go there again. heh.

@ferrous: well, there are different kinds of parties. That wasn’t my regular group of friends, but I have to believe that they would have been equally as uncomfortable at one of my parties. To each their own.
maybe you should invite them to one of yours. lol!! 😀
