Day 187 of 365 days.

You know even though I use a lot of darkness in my photography, I’d argue that my work usually isn’t all that "dark." So today is kind of a departure from the norm I guess. You can blame it on last night’s NyQuil induced coma and hallucinations. I thought of this as I was falling to sleep to sleep. I’m glad I remember it in the morning.

Spent the day doing my taxes. Getting enough back that I can probably not go crazy worrying if I’m not going to be able to find a new job for another month. Still, I’d rather spend it on something fun. At least I did hear from one today. Maybe things are looking up.

Tonight I brave Pittsburgh’s latest tundra-like blizzard to have Valentine’s day dinner with Steph. The things we do for love. After all, I’m still getting over this cold and as you can see, I now have a huge open chest wound to deal with.

Happy Valentines Day.

    I really did LOL!!

You’re not supposed to do that to yourself! "Someone special" is supposed to perform the surgery for you!

Great job! And oddly, it’s the glint off your belt that makes this for me.

    Thanx everyone…

@Sick Little Monkey: I don’t think its weird. It’s one of my personal favorites of anything I’ve done in quite a while, actually. I was just afraid it looked to fake.

@peskymac: Yeah, I actually went and put that belt on just for that affect. Thanx for noticing.

@Jack Scoresby: Well, I certainly did think of it as kinda Jack-inspired when I was setting it up. But like I said, I was afraid it looked too fake. Glad you liked it.

Wonderfully done and I think it’s nice to see something like this for a Valentine’s Day shot.

@Reluctant Suburbanite: There’s always tomorrow. It doesn’t have to be Vday shot. I love when people care enough to copycat me.

@Sick Little Monkey: ah… my mistake. Carry on then.

@forgtnrose: thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.

    that’s creepy yo
hope you had a lovely valentine’s day

  30. February 19, 2007 at 10:24 am

Oh, I love the darkness of this valentine’s shot that sets it SO apart from the rest. I’m also perversely taking some comfort in the fact that there’s someone else in 52 weeks who’s on the job hunt slog. My return might help for a week, not a month… but it’s going out today! Hpe the interviews pan out.

  31. February 19, 2007 at 10:46 am

IMHO — mOST VERY WELL DONE!
