Day 165 of 365 days.
For Christmas, I got Steph an easel and a bunch of art products because she wanted to be more creative. She’s even been doing her own 365 Day project as of a couple days ago (using the camera I bought her for our anniversary). But one of the things she really wanted to work on was painting and drawing. Therefore the easel was a good gift for her, I think. Anyway, she’s been asking if I’d sit for her to draw me, and I decided to do that tonight while we were watching the State of the Union address.
I love State of the Union addresses, even when I don’t agree with the president (I frequently disagree with all politics). Call me crazy, but any guy has his finger on the button that can destroy the world; I like to know what he’s thinking from time to time. Also, I love when he says Nyookular and Clean Coal.
You’re a good man, Chris Maverick! So thoughtful. Yay to Steph for her creativity. And Bush is a weenie. Stay cool, man.

Awesome shot! I like how you can see the artist and a hint of the sitter. Perfect capture and expression of creativity.
This is very nice…as a newbie to this project, it is fun to see the creativity everyone displays on their self portraits…I will have a way to go before I come up with anything of this calibre. But, the whole point of participating is to force the growth! Wish me luck!

i missed the state of the union….so if you could possibly sum it up for me in a comments box on one of my photos, i’d love you for it. i can’t stand watching that man…i know i should, because you’re right….i DO need to know what is going on….but i’ve been preferring to get my news by word of mouth from friends rather than the news lately.
