Day 6 of 365 days. I really liked this idea but it never took off the way i wanted it to. I started working on it too late and I worked on it up to 11:59 and then stopped because I like to keep it real, dammit. In any case, the effect is neat and I might go for it again at some point, but its not quite what i wanted it to be. But hey, learning is what this is all about, right? And its not like I don’t have 359 days left to try it again at some point.

The really funny part is I’m standing on the corner essentially photographing a trash can and waiting for people to walk in front of it, so I can get the motion blurs and 9 out of 10 people go out of their way to avoid me because they’re afraid to ruin the shot. *sigh*

you never know what people are gonna do. Thats why it’s best to INCLUDE them or to not intend on including them at all…

love the long exposure/multiple exposure effect. It adds a postmodern quality to the photo.

Love the idea…and it would figure that people would move out of the way the one time when you don’t want them to! how many times have you tried to take a photograph of something and someone’s head, hand or whatever limb getsin the way?!
    Cool photo!!!

Would have been nice to have some light illuminating you, perhaps a flash in rear sync mode.

Thanks for all the comments, everyone.

@Miracle Man: Honestly I suck at flash photography. its something I should really work on and this experiment is probably a good way to do that. But the real reason I didn’t do that here is that I needed to keep the light as constant as possible throughout all of the shots in order to get the after compositing to work out right.

Great image, well executed, it stayed real

That’s right. I remember this one. This worked out great. I’m still not real sure about how to put two different exposures on top of each other like this though. I still need to do some photoshop learning. 🙂
