Day 2 of my experimenting with 365 days. I have now created a Flickr pool where many other people are trying the project as well. If you’re interested, please see 365 days.
I was sitting around thinking "what am i gonna do today?" and I had this idea based on drawings of the superhero Captain Marvel (marvel comics Genis Vell version). I never actually got all the way to finishing it with the stars and cosmos and stuff because I liked how this intermediate step turned out. Who knows, I may revisit the original idea in the future some day. Its not like I don’t have 363 more portaits to take.
Its nearly 4 am as I finish this. Sooner or later the novelty of this project is going to run off and some of these self portraits will be 11:59pm cameraphone shots. Which might be interesting, but it won’t be the same as these first two. We’ll see how it goes.
I need more people doing this as well to really push me, so please if you’re curious and you think you have what it takes, join 365 days. Best case, you learn something. Worse case scenario, you don’t finish, and who really cares.
